Fc0 Dwr Fail

The overpriced jackets gets 2-stars due the FC0 DWR finish failing to repel any moisture (in the form of light drizzle). If I would have thought quick enough, I would have taken pictures or video to show a light sprinkling rain soaking into the material, zero beading occurred. I was very excited about this purchase and then very disappointed to have it not perform according to the description. I'll take the older, less environmental friendly finish any day over this new ineffective finish. That said, the size, style and warmth rating is great.

Buy For It’s Purpose

Simply the best jacket I’ve owned. I bought my first atom jacket back in 2009 and just bought a new one a month ago. I’m a one jacket guy and don’t do trends and don’t fall for hype. It’s all about purpose and quality. This new atom is just that. It packs small and is lite weight. It keeps me warm when it’s wet and drys kinda fast when hung in a tree. I put black tape over the logo to hide the fact it’s a brand people add status to. Yea it’s expensive but if you take care of it it would last a long time. It looks best in the woods not so much in a mall. When this jacket sees 15+ years I’ll buy another one. Thank you Arc’teryx for the quality you provide

Best All Around Jacket

I lost my original atom hoodie. It became an extension of me and without exaggeration, no other jacket compared. So I purchased a new one and the love affair continues. The best all around jacket there's. Period, full stop.

Trash

This will probably be the last Arcteryx product I purchase. Their quality has degraded from the brand I loved for many years. This jacket shows stains like it's its full time job. I solely wore this around some cities and flights for meetings, didn't eat in it, and somehow stains appear everywhere, even on the back. It looks like garbage after 30 days of wearing it. The sleeve cuffs are even starting to fray, and it hasn't even been in nature yet. It obviously can't be returned because it's worn, but I didn't know it would be such a poorly built item until I started wearing it. Stay far away.

Solid Jacket But Very Expensive For What You Get.

Well constructed jacket but lacking for the price. Was surprised at how thin the insulation was, and was dissapointed to see fleece panels on the side, meaning that wind would cut right through. Probably won't be buying another Atom jacket.
